Fuengirola
Fuengirola is a compact, densely built town along the seafront promenade, and most jobs here are in flats. It's about 30 minutes from Marbella along the Costa del Sol. I work in the centre, Los Boliches, Carvajal, Torreblanca and El Higuerón.

Along the seafront there are high-rise blocks from the 1970s and 80s with small flats, often with old plumbing and wiring. Further up the hill, in Torreblanca and Carvajal, there are more residential complexes with pools. Many Scandinavians and Brits live here, and lots of the flats are let out.
Bathroom and kitchen renovations, replacing taps, water heaters and pipes, and fitting and cleaning air con. A van with movers is often needed too: carrying furniture upstairs, moving things to the building next door, or picking up an IKEA order and assembling it on site. Also flat cleaning before guests check in and after they leave.
Lifts in older buildings are small and parking near the promenade is difficult, so I plan removals and material deliveries in advance. I do noisy work during the hours the community allows. For small flats, it's handy to group all the little jobs into a single handyman visit.

Our work
We replaced the rollers on three sliding terrace doors and the straps on six roller shutters (persianas). The owners didn't have to replace any windows.
A family moving to a bigger apartment. We packed the crockery and appliances, took apart the wardrobes and beds, moved everything in one trip and put it all back together at the new place. By the evening the kitchen and bedrooms were ready to live in.
In this 1980s apartment the power tripped every time the air con came on. We fitted a new fuse box with a separate breaker for each circuit and an RCD, checked the earthing and labelled every circuit.

Yes: stripping out, replacing pipes, tiling and plumbing, start to finish. I do smaller jobs myself and bring in a team for bigger ones. The price is agreed before work starts.
