Estepona
Estepona is about 30 minutes from my base in Marbella along the A-7, so I can often get here on the day you get in touch too. I work in the Old Town, on the New Golden Mile and in the urbanisations by the sea and up in the hills. By arrangement, I also go further west along the Costa del Sol to Manilva and Casares.

Estepona is very varied. The Old Town has old houses on narrow streets, where it's hard to drive up and unload materials, and the pipes and wiring are often long overdue for replacement. Along the seafront and on the New Golden Mile, by contrast, there are plenty of recent developments with terraces, communal pools and modern appliances.
In older houses: plumbing and pipe replacement, water heaters, electrics and full bathroom renovations. In new developments: furniture assembly and setting up after a purchase, and fitting air con, blinds and mosquito screens. In holiday lets: cleaning between guests and small repairs on the spot.
In the Old Town I plan ahead how to bring in materials and where to take the rubbish. In new developments I agree working hours with the management. Over time, the sea air damages air con outdoor units and the tracks of sliding doors, so I check those too when I visit.

Our work
We replaced the bath with a level-access shower, waterproofed the whole room, laid large-format porcelain tiles and fitted a wall-hung toilet. The owners were in Sweden and got a progress report every Friday.
The owners were swapping a villa for an apartment in the city. We packed the paintings and glassware separately, took some of the furniture into storage and placed the rest according to the new apartment's floor plan.
Tools, garden kit and beach gear were all piled up together. We put up pegboards and shelving, added hooks for bikes and paddleboards and improved the lighting. The car fits in again.

This sea-view terrace sat empty all winter because of the wind. We installed frameless sliding glazing and adjusted the panels and seals. Now it can be used all year round.
We got the house ready for the estate agent's photo shoot: cleaned the kitchen, bathrooms, windows and terrace, and wiped down the furniture and light fittings. The photos came out bright, with no need for heavy retouching.
The old termo was leaking and barely heating. We fitted a new 80-litre unit, replaced the supply pipes and valves and checked the pressure. Hot water was back the same day.
